On Friday, October 6th, 2023, Missouri Attorney General candidate Will Scharf wrote an article in The Federalist, titled “Why Trump’s Presidential Immunity Defense May Just Lead To An Election Indictment Dismissal”. The article argues that the recent motion to dismiss, filed by President Trump’s legal team, “persuasively argues that the D.C. case should be dismissed, and if past practice is any guide all proceedings could and should be stayed while this issue is litigated fully, all the way up to the Supreme Court if necessary.”
